If I Could Be a Cat, also known as Nekonara, is a slice of life fantasy story about a vigorous girl named Kone who was raised by cats, and those who live a normal life like any other. Daichi, a typical high school boy is considered one of them. He lives a normal life but fights with his everyday struggles and starts to feel slightly envious of the cats that wander around town of Yanaka, whose life is carefree and easy. Kone on the other hand generally lacks what others have yet she strives to live as the world around her fills her with curiosity. They encounter and experience differences of both worlds, but is it really all that great to ask for the impossible?
Nekonara is a passion project by Misa Shion Sturdivant. While the series is currently a work in progress, below are comic pages, concept arts and illustrations of the series that covers the characters, environment, and rough pages of the comic, as she wishes to further develop them.
